Inspired Canadian Racing Driver

Ending The Season In Style

Taking a look back on my final round of the Canadian karting season. The race was a strong way to end my 2020 season. Going into the weekend on a high from my mega result in Hamilton and it being my birthday, I had momentum on my side.

During the test days that week I felt locked in and focused for the coming weekend, looking for a repeat result from the last round. This benefited me greatly, as we were able to get the kart setup to a completive level for the weekend. Even after a poor qualifying result of 7th I was not phased and was determined to make up for it in the races. In response to my the qualifying I made my way up to 5th in the prefinal, poised for a podium finish in the final.

In the final I furthered my progress and fought my way up to 3rd in a consistent drive through the entire race. I held 3rd until the last lap when I slipped back to 4th. However due to a driver being disqualified in the technical inspection. I was promoted back into 3rd and finished with a well deserved podium finish.

What a great way to spend my Birthday!
